主讲人简介:

张军(LawrenceJun Zhang, PhD)博士现任新西兰奥克兰大学博士生导师及博士后导师、教育学院课程与教学论系应用语言学正教授、教育学院副院长(国际关系)。张军教授主要从事二语习得、元认知、学习策略、二语写作、阅读教学设计和外语师范教育方面的研究。在国内及国际性学术刊物及会议文集发表论文及述评100余篇。张军教授现为新西兰应用语言学学会执行委员会执行委员/常务理事/秘书长。现任中国外语写作教学与研究会理事、新西兰应用语言学学会(ALANZ)秘书长、TESOL Quarterly学刊(SSCI-源刊)副主编、《元认知与学习》Metacognition &Learning (Springer, New York, USA) (SSCI-源刊)、《系统:教育技术与应用语言学国际期刊》System:An International Journal of Educational Technology and Applied Linguistics(Elsevier, Oxford, UK) (SSCI-源刊)TheApplied Linguistics Review《应用语言学评论》(SSCI, de Gryuter, New York & Germany)Journal of Second Language Writing《第二语言写作研究学刊》(SSCI)、《中国应用语言学》ChineseJournal of Applied Linguistics 国际编委(de Gryuter, USA and Germany)、《区域英语教学期刊》RELCJournal国际编委 (Sage, London &Singapore) ,Writingand Pedagogy《写作及教学》(Equinox,UK)等国际期刊编委。

International Publishing for Linguistics/AppliedLinguistics Scholars in a Globalized World

(国际化环境下应用语言学科研论文的发表)

 

 

内容简介:

Writingis a challenge facing many emergent scholars. The challenge is exacerbated fornon-native English-speaking writers, who, on the one hand, have to jugglelinguistic demands, and on the other hand, consider the logical organisationfor expressing the intended meanings coherently. Issues germane to such achallenge probably relate to non-native English-speaking writers’ lack of genreawareness, discourse knowledge, rhetorical disparities, and any other minor butsignificant aspects that affect reader-reviewer-editor judgement about thequality of the work presented in a submitted manuscript. Such a challenge, inall likelihood, is greater for Chinese linguistics and applied linguisticsscholars who have limited access to international journals to which they canpotentially contribute their research articles.

 

Come and join Dr Zhang in this seminar, where he will share his personal experienceas co-editor of TESOL Quarterly (SSCI),an editorial board member of several leading journals, Applied Linguistics Review (SSCI), Journal of Second Language Writing(SSCI), System (SSCI), Metacognition and Learning (SSCI), and a reviewerfor a number of eminent SSCI-indexed journals such as Language Learning, Applied Linguistics, Modern Language Journal,Language Teaching Research, and Assessing Writing.  He will present an overview of a range ofjournals for possible publications and share strategies for success. A Q&Asegment will follow, which will allow audience to interact with the speaker.
