Riccardo Moratto 莫冉 (别名韦佳德, 字远复），台湾师范大学文学院博士，广东外语外贸大学翻译学研究中心荣誉研究员。莫冉博士是著名翻译家及演说家、同时也是中国翻译协会专家会员、澳门翻译协会荣誉会员、世界翻译教育联盟理事长助理、翻译学专家、国际会议口译员、著名文学译者、Assointerpreti 会员、欧洲翻译研究学会会员、欧洲汉学学会会员。于2013年在台湾师范大学获得博士学位。他曾在湖南师范大学、辅仁大学、实践大学、台北艺术大学、台湾科技大学、台北商业大学等多所大学任教。他曾也担任台湾电视台的主持人及演说家。
莫冉博士的代表专著包括 Introduzione alla Sinografia, Taiwan Sign Language Interpreting: Theoretical Aspects and Pragmatic Issues, 以及Translation and Governance. State Translation Activities in the Chinese Yuan and Qing Dynasties。Riccardo Moratto 莫冉博士也主编了许多由国际权威出版社出版的编著，如 Diverse Voices in Chinese Translation and Interpreting: Theory and Practice; The Routledge Companion to Yan Lianke; Ecocriticism and Chinese Literature: Imagined Landscapes and Real Lived Spaces; Global Insights into Public Service Interpreting: Theories, Practices, and Training; Chinese Literature in the World: Dissemination and Translation Practices; Voci letterarie dal Levante: Dialoghi con autori cinesi in tempo di pandemia (中-意对照版) 等代表作。他另著有两本中文散文书、二十本以上的译书、两本教科书、及七十余篇中英论文发表于国内外核心期刊。
Dr. Riccardo Moratto 莫冉 (nom de plume 韋佳德) is a scholar of Translation and Interpreting Studies. He is an expert member (專家會員) of the Translators Association of China (TAC, 中國翻譯協會) an honorary member of the Associação de Tradutores de Macau (澳門翻譯協會), former Associate Professor at Hunan Normal University, Assistant President of WITTA (World Interpreter and Translator Training Association), Research Fellow at the Center for Translation studies, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He is the author of Introduzione alla sinografia, author of Taiwan Sign Language Interpreting: Theoretical Aspects and Pragmatic Issues, co-author of Translation and Governance - State Translation Activities in the Chinese Yuan and Qing Dynasties (Springer, forthcoming), author of two books in Chinese, and the chief editor of several other academic volumes. He has published in various professional magazines, conference proceedings, edited books, and international leading indexed journals, such as AHCI-listed journals. He has also been a manuscript reviewer for many prestigious, international journals. Dr. Moratto has published widely in the fields of Translation and Interpreting Studies and Chinese literature. In 2013, he obtained his Ph.D. from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). Over the years, he has taught at several universities including Hunan Normal University, Fujen Catholic University, Taipei National University of the Arts, Shih Chien University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, and National Taipei University of Business. He is a professional interpreter and a renowned literary translator. His most recent work focuses on Chinese modern and contemporary literature, interpreting history in China, translation and cultural identities, Chinese-English translation, public service interpreting, media interpreting, and the interdisciplinary nature of interpreting studies.
